Yongzhou Chen

I’m a Research Scientist at Meta AI & Systems Co-Design. Currently I work on large-scale distributed ML systems and focus on collective communication.

I’ve earned my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I was advised by Prof. Radhika Mittal. During my PhD, I worked on load balancing, resource allocation and congestion control in 5G networks.

I used to intern at Microsoft Research and Google NetInfra. Before UIUC, I obtained my B.S.(Honors) in Computer Science from University of Science and Technology of China.

I’m a recipient of Rambus Computer Engineering Fellowship.
